Welcome to the Tattoos4food exchange. Below is the step-by-step process of how this initiative works, what is required from you, and how the logistics are managed to ensure a smooth appointment.

A Note on Service Level

“I am no superstar but still pretty decent, just to make sure we are all on the same page.”

Tattoo Styles & Specialization

To ensure you get the absolute best piece of art, please note the specific style limitations and focus areas of the studio:

  • Exclusive Focus: I only do Black and Grey tattoos. No color work is provided. [cite: 4]
  • Preferred Styles: I specialize in and prefer working on Floral and Ornamental designs.
  • Exclusions: I strictly do not do lettering. Please keep this in mind when discussing or locking in your design choice.

Food Donation Requirements

Because this service directly supports local food banks and community pantries, the food exchange is a mandatory part of your service. [cite: 1, 4] Please adhere to the following food guidelines:

  • Non-Perishable Only: All items brought for trade must be shelf-stable, unexpired, and in good condition (e.g., canned goods, pasta, rice, cereals, block/boxed long-life products). [cite: 4]
  • Quality Focus: Bring essential, high-nutrition items that families and individuals in need genuinely rely on. Everything else is just noiseโ€”clean, simple sustenance is what truly matters.

Equipment Safety, Quality & Hygiene Standards

Your health and safety are paramount. Even though this operates as a community-focused exchange, the studio strictly adheres to elite, professional industry regulations:

  • Premium Inks: We exclusively use high-quality Dynamic Black ink, a world-renowned, professional-grade pigment proudly made in America. [cite: 4]
  • Strictly Single-Use Disposable: To eliminate any risk of cross-contamination, 100% of the needles, cartridges, and protective barriers used during your procedure are single-use, medically sealed, and safely disposed of immediately after your session. [cite: 4]
  • Certified Local Sourcing: All machinery, medical sanitation supplies, and professional shop equipment are sourced directly from trusted trade authorities, including Bohemian Tattoo Studio and the Tattoo Supplier Shop in Tauranga. Everything utilized in the studio is fully hygienic, sterile, and certified to meet standard compliance codes.

Important Studio Rules & Preparation

  • Placement Limits: Tattoos are strictly done on ARMS and LEGS ONLY. [cite: 2, 4] No exceptions will be made, and no cover-ups or tattooing over damaged skin are permitted. [cite: 4]
  • Transport & Drop-Off Policy: Please do not get dropped off by somebody else. Make sure you come in your own vehicle so you are not hanging around.
